The Future

Twenty years ago, our Christmas display began with just a few lights and a simple idea: to bring a little joy to our neighborhood. We never imagined it would grow into what it is today. Over the years, our front yard became a place where families return, kids grow up, photos are taken, and Christmas memories are made. What started in 2005 has turned into a tradition built with care, creativity, and heart, shared with thousands of visitors who stop, smile, and feel the magic of the season.

As the display has grown, so have the challenges. Rising costs, aging equipment, and the time and energy required to maintain it all make continuing harder each year. Still, we keep going because of the incredible encouragement from the community. What many don’t see is that our work doesn’t stop when the lights come down. We write and share stories all year long to keep the spirit of Christmas alive well beyond December, we create new sequences, we seek out components to enhance things, and we work on Ryan’s Santa Claus portrayal.
Why 2025 Was Dark:
In 2025, aging equipment and network failures forced us to pause the display — something added community support or sponsorship could help prevent in the future.
If you enjoy what we do, there are ways you can help:
- Support the display: https://cypressholidays.com/sponsorship
- Read and share our holiday articles: https://cypressholidays.com/check-out-our-holiday-articles
- Follow and engage with us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JohnsonsChristmasCorner/
“The Johnsons’ Christmas Corner” is no longer just ours. It belongs to everyone who visits, returns each year, or stumbles upon it and is reminded of what makes this season special. Each February, we sit down as a family to decide whether we can continue for another year. Every visit, share, and word of encouragement truly helps. What’s next truly does depend on you.
From our family to yours,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄
