The Christmas Mouse serves as a year-round festive destination for those who want to extend the joy of Christmas throughout the year. The Christmas Mouse operates eight permanent locations year-round and seasonal pop-up shops. These shops make it a festive destination with over 28,000 ornaments, collectables and accessories that delight visitors throughout the year.

The Original Christmas Mouse

The main store is situated at 1991 Richmond Road in Williamsburg, Virginia. The store established in 1985 surpassed its initial space requirements. Now, it operates from a 10,000 square foot facility filled with Christmas wonder. The village of Norge, Virginia holds a quieter shopping destination just outside Williamsburg. This destination features a Route 60 red barn adorned with garlands and bows and provides 4,700 square feet of festive charm.

Since 1987, the Christmas Mouse establishment has been situated in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The 8,000 square foot shop at Mile Post 10.5 in Nags Head serves as a key destination for beach visitors. This shop boasts a specialized nautical room displaying hundreds of Outer Banks-themed ornaments and souvenirs. It stands as the island’s biggest year-round Christmas establishment. Meanwhile, the Duck, NC branch of Scarborough Lane Shops features 4,000 square feet of holiday items. It offers specialized nautical gifts for tourists.

We Visited Them In South Carolina

Two locations in South Carolina deliver Christmas cheer to the Grand Strand region. For more than three decades, the Christmas Mouse has maintained its status as a foundational tenant at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Its signature staircase leads to a main tree decorated with gold ornaments and Swarovski crystals. Personalized and nautical ornaments complete the display. A free-standing store located on Highway 17 in Myrtle Beach draws tourists and local visitors. This attraction is due to its friendly service and broad range of selections.

This Virginia Beach location at 11th and Atlantic sits within walking distance of the ocean. Here, this seaside Christmas store offers distinctive personalized ornaments. These capture memories of beach vacations in a district full of surf shops.

The most recent location of the store occupies a small space within the Hammock Shops located on Pawleys Island in South Carolina. The historic tobacco barn built in 1900 houses this charming 2,700 square feet store. It holds a State Historic Preservation Office registration. Even though it’s small in size, this store provides a magical and nostalgic holiday shopping experience. It reflects Southern culture.

The Christmas Mouse provides a joyful holiday retreat with decorations and memories that celebrate Christmas’s magic for visitors at the beach or those exploring historic villages and coastal vacation areas.
